Bayern Munich midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger should be fit to face Napoli at home in the Champions League on Wednesday, Bayern coach Jupp Heynckes said on Sunday.

Schweinsteiger limped off after 70 minutes of Bayern's 4-0 Bundesliga defeat of Nuremberg Saturday with a sore calf, ruling him out of training on Sunday.

While the 27-year-old Germany midfielder is expected to train alone Monday before rejoining the squad for practice on Tuesday, Heynckes feels he should be fit to play.

"Things are much better today," said Heynckes.

Belgium defender Daniel van Buyten also sat out training on Sunday having complained of a bruised left foot following the win over Nuremberg, but he is also expected to be available for selection.

Bayern are top of Group A in the Champions League, two points ahead of Napoli, but both sides are unbeaten in their European campaign so far after their first three games.
