Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski believes outgoing manager Pep Guardiola will improve any team he chooses to take over in the Barclays Premier League.
Last month the Spaniard confirmed he would be standing down as head coach at the end of the campaign after three successful years in the Bundesliga to pursue a career in England.
Manchester City are thought to be leading the chase for his services while Chelsea and Manchester United have also been linked with the Catalan.
Lewandowski, though, thinks Guardiola has already made up his mind and backed the 45-year-old to succeed in the Premier League.
"I know Pep can improve a team in England," the Poland international told the Mail on Sunday. "I think he knows where he's going and he knows what he needs to do with the team he's going to, so that they play much better.
"He will focus on technique and perhaps more possession than is the norm in England. But Pep knows the Premier League is different from the Spanish league or the Bundesliga. I'm sure he can do something new in terms of tactics and technique."
Guardiola took over from Jupp Heynckes in the summer of 2013 on a three-year contract and has won back-to-back Bundesliga titles with Bayern, as well as the DFB-Pokal, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup.
That haul is almost certainly going to be added to this season, complementing an impressive trophy collection that includes, among others, two Champions League and three Primera Division titles from his time at Barcelona.
Lewandowski, who was a key cog in last season's Bundesliga triumph, has already scored 17 goals in the league this term and is desperate to finish the campaign off in style.
"The first time I heard Pep's decision I thought it was a shame," added Lewandowski. "But after that, I knew I'd to come here to train and play and I'm sure we'll carry on in the same direction with Pep right to the end of the season.
"It's important for me to have a good second half of the season. And if we do win something then we will celebrate with Pep.
"Pep thinks about football 24 hours a day. He covers every angle to the smallest detail and he always demands 100 per cent in training and in games."
