Carlo Ancelotti says Julian Green has a chance of playing as Bayern Munich travel to Eintracht Frankfurt this weekend, having impressed in training.

The United States of America international, who featured in the DFB-Pokal first-round win, joined Bayern three years ago but is yet to take his bow in the Bundesliga.

That league debut could be on the horizon, though, with Ancelotti praising the 21-year-old.

"Green is a good player and he's working with a lot of concentration," said the Italian coach at a press conference.

"I think he's got a chance of playing in our coming games. He's in the squad for Frankfurt."

Arjen Robben is also an option, despite suffering another injury setback during the international break, while defender Holger Badstuber could be part of the Bayern squad for the first time this season as the German giants look to bounce back from dropping their first points of the season against Cologne a fortnight ago.

"We can and we must improve, but I am happy with what we've done so far," said Ancelotti, whose side have gone two games without a win, including defeat to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.

"We just have to continue following our ideas."
