Bayern Munich are set to be without Croatia striker Ivica Olic for between six to eight weeks after he was diagnosed with a partial tear of the right hip flexor, the club revealed Sunday.

The 31-year-old came off the bench and scored Bayern's final goal in their 5-0 drubbing of Hamburg on Saturday in the German league, but now misses Tuesday's Champions League play-off, second-leg tie at FC Zurich.

The Croatia star was diagnosed by Bayern doctor Hans-Wilhelm Mueller-Wohlfahrt with a partial tear of the tendon on Sunday evening which will keep him out for up to two months.

Olic has only recently got back to full fitness after knee surgery last November for cartilage damage and only returned to team training in July.

With Bayern holding a 2-0 lead from the first-leg, Bayern stars Mario Gomez and Arjen Robben, who both scored in the rout of Hamburg, are expected to play in Zurich despite picking up knocks.
