Bayern Munich can count on two Schweinsteigers next season after the elder brother of Germany international Bastian signed a deal to join the Bavarians' reserves, the club announced on Monday.
Tobias Schweinsteiger, a 30-year-old forward, is due for a summer move from third division Jahn Regensburg, where he is captain and the team's leading scorer with 12 goals this season.
"I hope to be able to bring my experience to young players. And of course I'm delighted to be able to finally play with Bastian at the same club," Tobias told the Bayern club site.
Bastian Schweinsteiger is currently sidelined with a recurrent right ankle problem.
