Bayern Munich said Wednesday its record-breaking year on the pitch also set a financial record, with the club posting 432.8 million euros ($582 million) in sales.

The team scored its first treble in its 113-year history, winning Europe's Champions League, a 23rd German championship and the DFB Cup.

"Complementing our sporting success, we can also be very proud of our commercial performance," finance director Jan-Christian Dreesen was quoted as saying in a statement.

It is the first time the club has exceeded 400 million euros in sales, a feat which has only been achieved by Manchester United, Real Madrid and Barcelona.

Bayern said its group operating profit, including Allianz stadium, rose 11 percent to 95.6 million, with net profit jumping 30 percent to 14.0 million euros.

Dividends to share holders will also be a record 8.25 million, or 30 cents per share.
