Carlo Ancelotti has set his sights on winning his first piece of silverware as Bayern Munich coach and a new trophy for his personal collection when the champions host Borussia Dortmund in the Supercup on Sunday.

With a fortnight to go until Bayern open the new Bundesliga season at home to Werder Bremen, Ancelotti's men can lay the first marker for the season ahead when they travel to Dortmund.

Bayern have not won the Supercup since 2012, losing twice to Dortmund, and Ancelotti wants that trend to end this weekend as he seeks his first moment of glory in Germany.

"It's the first competitive game of the season, the first title and all titles are important for us, which is why we want to win it," said the Italian at a press conference on Friday.

"I think my team are ready. It's going to be an important and a difficult game.

"Dortmund have a very good team with very good players and it's not going to be easy for us, but we want to play very well and show a good team spirit.

"I think we've got a lot of self-confidence."

Ancelotti is set to pick Mats Hummels to face his former side, while he also said that Thomas Muller and Robert Lewandowski are both fit to start.

"Hummels has a lot of experience and I don't think the occasion will get to him," Ancelotti said.

"He's looked good this week. He's relaxed and focused and I think he'll have a good game tomorrow."

Franck Ribery is also set to start, although Arjen Robben and Renato Sanches are both injured.

"Franck's not played for a while, but he's very motivated to play now," said the 57-year-old.

"Of course nobody wants to have injured players and we've had a bit of misfortune this summer, but the injured players will have the time to get fit again."
