Barnsley boss Andy Ritchie has strengthened his promotion-chasing squad by capturing Leicester City striker Tommy Wright in a deal that could eventually rise to £50,000.
The 21-year-old will confirm his move to Oakwell on Sunday after struggling to break in to the Foxes first team.
"I'm absolutely delighted to sign and just cannot wait to get my first goal in a Barnsley shirt," Wright told the Tykes' official website.
"When I knew that Barnsley were interested there was no question about where I was going and agreeing the deal was straightforward.
"I've been out (on loan) at Blackpool since September and thoroughly enjoyed most of my time there. I scored some goals but was dropped for the last couple of games."
