Winger could leave Barnsley
19 Jan 2009 - 15:56:07
Barnsley could be set to lose Jamal Campbell-Ryce, who is subject to a seven figure transfer offer.
Tykes boss Simon Davey has already turned down two bids for the midfielder, who joined for £250,000 from Southend.
However, Ryce is believed to be subject to a £1million bid, thought to be from Reading.
"When you get bids of this size, it's a big temptation," Davey told the club's official website.
"Sometimes you have to deal with losing players. I hope he stays, but I have to be realistic and there's a chance he may leave."
Meanwhile, Barnsley striker Michael Coulson has been ruled out for the rest of the season just weeks after returning from an eight-month lay off.
Coulson has suffered a repeat of the cruicate ligament damage to his knee which he suffered in April. Both incidents occurred on the training ground.
Coulson will now face an uncertain future, being out of contract at the end of the current season.
The 20-year-old has been at Barnsley since 2006, arriving from Scarborough.
