Barnsley boss Simon Davey has all but ruled out an appeal against skipper Paul Reid's sending-off in the 2-2 draw with Colchester United.
The 25-year-old centre-back was dismissed early in the second half at Layer Road for a clash with Teddy Sheringham and Davey says that video footage of the incident is of little help.
He told the Sheffield Star: "Paul is not happy, he's gone to head the ball, but he's led with his arm.
"He's not intentionally gone to elbow somebody in the back of the head.
"He's gone to win his header and unfortunately the referee didn't see it like that."
