Tykes trio available for loans

Barnsley boss Simon Davey is willing to let Jacob Butterfield, Kyle Letheren and Robert Atkinson leave Oakwell on loan.

All three players are struggling to break in to Davey's first-team plans and the Tykes boss believes it will do the youngsters good to have a spell elsewhere.

He told the club's official website: "We're looking at moving Jacob, Kyle and Robert out on loan and will be circulating their names today.

"We'll see what happens but we want to get them some experience and some games.

"They're kicking their heels a bit here with a number of senior players we've brought to the club in front of them.

"They're finding it a little hard to push through so we want to get them some experience playing games and will be looking to move them out for a short while."
