Barnsley manager Simon Davey has made the Brazilian defender Dennis Souza his ninth summer signing, but is still keen to bring more new players to Oakwell before the start of the season. The 26-year-old, who has penned a two-year deal, has impressed during his time on trial with the Tykes, starring in the pre-season friendlies against Buxton, Rotherham and Wigan Athletic. Davey told the club's official website: "We still want to sign more players and strengthen our squad further ahead of the kick-off. "There will be more to come and hopefully we can get them on board before the Coventry match. "After watching Dennis in Belgium, we invited him over for pre-season and he has impressed in his short time with us. "We're delighted that we've been able to complete the deal and look forward to working with him for the next two seasons."
