Barnsley have completed the permanent signing of former on-loan goalkeeper Luke Steele.
The 23-year-old keeper helped the Tykes reach the semi-finals of the FA Cup while on loan from West Bromwich Albion and has now agreed a one-year contract at Oakwell.
The former Manchester United youngster made 17 appearances for Simon Davey's side in the recently completed season.
Steele was originally drafted in following a serious knee ligament injury to regular number one Heinz Muller.
"We are delighted to have netted Luke on a permanent basis after he performed so well for us last season," Davey told the club's official website.
"We now have two top quality keepers in Luke and Heinz who will both be vying for the number one jersey at Oakwell next season.
"That is very healthy competition and is what we are looking to achieve in every department."
