Managerless Barnsley have pulled off a double loan swoop and could add a third player to the Oakwell ranks before Thursday's transfer deadline expires.
The Tykes sacked manager Andy Ritchie earlier in the week, but caretaker boss Simon Davey has bolstered the struggling squad by signing West Brom utility man Ronnie Wallwork and teenage winger Kyel Reid from West Ham.
Wallwork, 29, has seen his first-team opportunities limited under new Baggies boss Tony Mowbray, while Reid has been farmed out in a bid to further his education.
Meanwhile, the Oakwell club are also poised to pull off a third loan swoop by landing Swansea City's transfer-listed striker Leon Knight.
The former Chelsea youngster was placed on the transfer list after falling out with Swans boss Kenny Jackett and has not featured for the League One club since the beginning of October.
Knight, a £125,000 purchase from Brighton last year, has scored seven times this season and is expected to arrive on a month's loan with a view to a permanent transfer in January.
