Barnsley have added Northern Ireland international midfielder Grant McCann to the burgeoning Oakwell ranks.
The Cheltenham Town midfielder has agreed a loan move to the Championship strugglers with a view to a permanent deal in the January transfer window.
The arrival of McCann means the Tykes have now landed three players on transfer deadline day with the signatures of West Brom's Ronnie Wallwork and teenage winger Kyel Reid from West Ham already secured.
"It was hard to leave Cheltenham and I am really sad about it in a way because it has been such a good place for me," McCann told the club's official website.
"But I need to move on. I want to fulfill my potential and do well in the Championship.
"I am just going to give it my very best shot now. I want to stay amongst the goals and hopefully I can play well every week.
"I have matured a lot in the last three seasons and I want to perform consistently."
The Tykes have also been linked with the loan capture of transfer-listed Swansea City striker Leon Knight.
