Barnsley boss Gudjon Thordarson is already eyeing an extension to Daniel Nardiello's loan deal.
The Manchester United striker joined the Tykes for a month in late January and has since scored twice in two games, prompting Thordarson to consider the prospect of extending his stay.
"We are hoping to have the option of keeping Daniel here for three months," he told the club's official website.
"I have spoken to him and he is keen to stay, so we now have to take things forward with Manchester United."
Twenty-one-year-old Nardiello is yet to make his Premiership bow for the Red Devils and spent a month with Swansea City earlier in the campaign.
