Tykes duo leave Oakwell
30 Jun 2008 - 14:04:38
Barnsley have parted company with Paul Reid and Dwayne Mattis after the duo's contracts were cancelled by mutual consent.
Meanwhile, Tykes boss Simon Davey has revealed that Blackpool have made an offer of £150,000 for winger Martin Devaney.
Davey confirmed to the club's official website: "That figure does trigger a clause in his contract allowing him to speak to them.
"This clause is standard in the majority of players' contracts and doesn't mean that we have to sell Martin, only that he can speak with a club who offer that amount.
"We've worked tirelessly in recent years both on and off the pitch to make sure that we're in a position where we decide who stays and who goes.
"No one player will leave unless we say so. Every player has a valuation and no one will be sold unless a club reaches that. We're not in the business of letting our players go on the cheap."
