Barnsley have solved their goalkeeping dilemma by snapping up Luke Steele on loan from West Brom.

The 23-year-old keeper will make his debut in Saturday's FA Cup fifth round tie with Liverpool at Anfield with regular number one Heinz Muller injured and fellow loanee Tony Warner cup-tied.

"I have been chasing Luke Steele for a while and we have enquired about him in the past," manager Simon Davey told the club's official website.

"He has experience and has played 35 or 40 games. He came up through the ranks at Manchester United and so has been brought up in the right way. He has a great opportunity on Saturday.

"Liverpool are a huge club with big players and a fantastic stadium. There is not much I can tell our lads that they have not seen for themselves on Match of the Day.

"It is a great occasion for our fans. We have given them the opportunity to go to Liverpool and I am sure that they will enjoy the day."
