Tykes star hails squad competition
The Tykes have climbed out of the relegation zone after three successive league wins and Hume believes the players drafted in by manager Mark Robins in recent weeks have had a big impact on the club.
Hume told the club's official website: "People here are fighting for their jobs at the moment. But we are getting there.
"We have a good group of players here now and you can see that by the quality that is sat on the bench or not even in the squad.
"We've not had that kind of strength in depth here for a while and there's competition for places.
"We all know we have to play well and give our all to stay in the side."
