Tykes short at back

Barnsley goalkeeper Luke Steele believes the Tykes could struggle without suspended defenders Stephen Foster and Jason Shackell next weekend. Skipper Foster and fellow centre-half Shackell will sit out against promotion-chasing Swansea at Oakwell after they were both sent off in last Saturday's defeat at Hull. Steele told the club's official website: "We're going to miss them, it's a big loss for the team - both centre-halves. "Us three have played every game, we're the only three players who have and those two have been brilliant. "We haven't got the best goals-against record in the league, but we've certainly got one of the best defences and those two have been great together all season. It's the gaffer's job to look at options and decide whether to bring anyone in or not." Foster was shown a straight red card for a professional foul after pulling back Matty Fryatt in the area in the 64th minute and Shackell received a second yellow for his mistimed tackle on Andy Dawson in the closing stages.
