Tykes hand trial to Filekovic
Filekovic, who is at home at left-back or at the heart of the defence, has won 14 international caps and enjoyed spells in Russia, Belgium, Croatia and Greece.
Boss Mark Robins told the official club website: "Suad is in with us and we will run the rule over him this week. He is an international with lots of experience so we will have a closer look at him."
Meanwhile, midfielder Emil Hallfredsson is facing around two weeks on the sidelines after sustaining a knee ligament injury during Tuesday night's 3-2 win at Derby.
"We have done an initial assessment on Emil and he has strained his medial ligament," said club physio Chris Burton. "It looks like he will be out for between two and three weeks."
