Barnsley have completed the signings of Chelsea striker Jacob Mellis and West Ham teenager Frank Nouble on loan until the end of the season. Mellis, 20, recently signed a new three-year contract at Stamford Bridge and has represented England at Under-16, 17 and 19 level. He made 15 appearances while on loan at Southampton last season. Tykes manager Mark Robins said: "I'm delighted to bring Jacob Mellis on loan to Oakwell for the rest of the season. "He's a big talent and technically brilliant. He's not been seen on this stage yet, but I've no worries about his attacking abilities." Nouble is a former Chelsea trainee who switched to West Ham in July 2009 before making his Hammers debut the following August. The 19-year-old has made a total of 14 first-team appearances for West Ham and has also had loan spells with West Brom and Swansea. His switch to Oakwell is subject to the completion of paperwork.
