Davey was charged for comments he made to an assistant referee during Barnsley's home defeat to local rivals Sheffield United in November - the same game in which Tykes striker Iain Hume fractured his skull in a challenge with Blades skipper Chris Morgan.[LNB]Davey, who attended a personal hearing in York, said: "I admitted the charge because it related to comments I made to a linesman over a penalty decision and I had remorse over that.[LNB]"But I felt there were mitigating circumstances because of the way the fixture had developed and there were many other incidents in the game that I was aggrieved about, culminating in the late penalty decision."[LNB]Morgan was booked for elbowing Hume in the side of the head and the FA later decided not to punish him further, while James Beattie converted the controversial 85th-minute spot kick to seal three points for the Blades at Oakwell.[LNB]Davey added: "I was told the hearing was about me and that nobody would be commenting on the Hume incident."[LNB][LNB]
