Trippier out to impress

Teenager Kieran Trippier is determined to use his spell with Barnsley as a springboard to further his career at parent club Manchester City. The 19-year-old defender, in his second loan spell at Oakwell, this time until January, made his first league start of the season in Saturday's win over Crystal Palace but he still has one eye on eventually making the breakthrough at Eastlands.Trippier told the club's official website: "Obviously it will be very hard with the money they have got. You can see the players they have brought in. But that's not going to stop me from progressing and trying to get in because personally I think I can do that, but it takes time and patience."But I'll wait. They'll be sending people out to watch me play. I got man of the match (against Palace) and thought I did well the other day as well, so I hope the manager and his staff are watching."I'm here for six months and I'll be concentrating on doing my best for myself and Barnsley. I hope we both do well so I can leave on a high."
