Trippier earns England call
England Under-21 head coach Stuart Pearce has included Barnsley defender Kieran Trippier in his provisional 40-man squad for this summer's 2011 UEFA European Under-21 Championship in Denmark.
Trippier, 20, who has spent the season on loan at Oakwell from Manchester City, made his debut for the Under-21s against Romania last October and has made three appearances since.
Six of Pearce's strong squad have all previously appeared for the England senior team - Andy Carroll, Danny Welbeck, Jack Wilshere, Jordan Henderson, Micah Richards and Kieran Gibbs.
The England Under-21 squad, who finished runners-up in 2009, head to Denmark on June 8 to continue their preparations for the two-week tournament.
