Thompson poised to join Barnsley

Barnsley are set to sign Jamaican international O'Neil Thompson from Norwegian side Notodden FK.An undisclosed fee has been agreed and the 25-year-old defensive midfielder is now awaiting a work permit. "He will be a great addition to what we are trying to build at this football club," manager Simon Davey told the Barnsley website.
