Steele aims to put error behind him

23 March 2010 03:30
The Tykes went down 1-0 at Portman Road after Steele had gifted the home side a fourth-minute goal when he raced out of the penalty area only to be dispossessed by Pablo Counago near the touchline. The Ipswich striker fired towards an empty net and after his shot hit the post Daryl Murphy steered home the rebound.

Steele said: "On a personal level I am very disappointed with last weekend's game.

"It was very, very frustrating and I was at fault for the goal.

"I take full responsibility for that. I will learn from that and hopefully never make the same mistake again.

"We did not play well enough in the first half, but we had some chances in the second and could have taken a point."
