Interesting Stats
This will be only the third ever meeting between the two clubs. They have met once at Oakwell, and once at Huish Park, both in the Reds victorious promotion season of 2005-2006.
In the one Oakwell meeting in August 2005, Terry Skiverton played at the heart of the Yeovil defence; he is now their assistant manager. He has held this role since 2012, and was actually the manager between 2009 and 2012.
Their current manager Gary Johnson was also the main man on that day eight years ago, but left Huish Park 37 days later to take over at Bristol City. He then managed Peterborough and Northampton before returning to Yeovil in January last year and led them into the second tier of English football in May for the first time in their history.
Whoever scores for Barnsley tomorrow (if anybody does) will be only the second Reds player to net against the Glovers. Robbie Williams is the other and he netted in both of the two meetings they have had.
Martin Cranie is set to face his hometown club whilst Stephen Dawson will go up against his brother, Kevin.
Yeovil are the Championship’s joint lowest scorers but have netted six in their last three matches to record two wins and a draw, their best run of the season.
The Glovers have won two matches on the road this season. Only Bolton and Birmingham have won more amongst the bottom half sides.
