Barnsley skipper Jason Shackell has won the Supporters' Player of the Year award at Oakwell. Shackell, a summer signing from Wolves for an undisclosed fee, has been instrumental in the Tykes' bid to overhaul last season's points tally of 54. Barnsley's Players' Player of the Year award went to Nathan Doyle, who has been rewarded for his rock-solid displays in central midfield. Right-back Kieran Trippier, on a season-long loan from Manchester City, scooped the Young Player of the Year accolade and the Academy Player of the Year award was won by teenage striker Danny Rose. Jacob Butterfield's strike against Bristol City at Oakwell on April 9 won the midfielder the Goal of the Season award.
