Robins unhappy with Tykes
10 Feb 2010 - 14:49:49
Barnsley chief Mark Robins was disappointed with his side following their 2-1 Championship setback at Middlesbrough on Tuesday evening.
The Tykes failed in their quest to win their third game on the spin as they dropped one place to 10th in the league table.
Argentine midfielder Hugo Colace pulled a goal back after first-half goals from Chris Killen and Gary O'Neil caused the damage.
The visitors created chances but couldn't make them count as Robins saw his promotion ambitions take a knock.
Speaking to reporters, he said: "You've got to play for 90 minutes and not give teams goals - and we've given them two goals.
"I'll accept that it's probably been a bit of a feature with us, for some reason we perform better in the second half than how we perform in the first.
"It's just elementary things that were not doing right - and if we do them right we end up being more successful than we were tonight."
