Barnsley's draw at Middlesbrough on Saturday felt like a defeat to manager Mark Robins, who believes his side's football deserved better.
Marlon Harewood gave Barnsley a half-time lead but Scott McDonald's late header rescued a point for Boro.
Robins said: "It feels like we've lost but there was some great stuff from us. We've passed the ball well. I'm really disappointed for them. We were getting the ball into the box and we moved it well.
"We just haven't capitalised. We should have been out of sight at half-time. I thought we were the better side for most of the game until we went down to 10 men and then we were under the cosh a little bit."
The point was not enough to stop the Tykes slipping to 17th place in the table, albeit 11 points clear of the drop zone with four games remaining.
