Robins swoops for midfielder Gray

Gray, 29, will spend an initial month-long trial with the Tykes, who installed former Rotherham manager Robins as Simon Davey's replacement last week.[LNB]Robins pledged to bring in "one or two new faces" after watching his new side lose at Watford last Saturday but Barnsley secured their first win of the season on Tuesday night at Derby in their new manager's second game in charge.[LNB]Gray, who started out as a trainee at Arsenal, has had spells at Crystal Palace, Birmingham and Coventry and spent the final six months of last season on loan at Fulham - but he is currently without a club after being signed permanently and then released by the Cottagers in the summer.[LNB]Slovenia international defender Suad Filekovic arrived at Oakwell on Wednesday for a week-long trial.[LNB][LNB]
