Robins salutes Haynes talent

Barnsley boss Mark Robins hailed Danny Haynes after his first two goals for the club secured a 2-0 win at Doncaster.

The Tykes had won just two away games in the npower Championship prior to their trip to the Keepmoat Stadium, but eased past an out-of-sorts Rovers courtesy of Haynes' second-half brace.

Speaking after the match, Robins said: "If you're going to make a name for yourself early on in your career, there's no better way to do that than to score two goals that turn out to be the margin between the two sides in a local derby.

"He's a raw talent, but he is a talent and it just settles him down.

"Once or twice in the first half he got through and maybe could have got on the end of something, but didn't for one reason or another. Then in the second half he continued to create havoc and make positive runs. Both he and (fellow striker) Garry O'Connor were excellent.

"We go into Friday's game (against Millwall) with a lot of positivity."
