Robins reveals extend of Shackell injury

Barnsley manager Mark Robins has revealed defender Jason Shackell "lost his two front teeth" following a challenge with Norwich striker Grant Holt on Saturday. Centre-back Shackell was forced out of the action just before half-time in the 2-0 home defeat and required emergency dental treatment after being caught in the face by Holt's elbow, while Michael Doyle (calf), Jacob Mellis and Bobby Hassell (both hamstring) all sustained injuries before or during the match. Robins said: "We lost Doyle and Mellis before the game and then Hassell and Shackell during, but that's not any excuse because we didn't start the afternoon brightly enough. "The positive I can take is we didn't fold in the second half, but I've plenty to work on. "Jason Shackell has lost his two front teeth in that challenge and Bobby Hassell's calf tightened up, so injuries are piling up."
