Robins impressed by De Silva

Robins has had almost a month to assess the squad he inherited from previous manager Simon Davey and has been left in no doubt as to the qualities of the 27-year-old Brazilian, who is currently sidelined due to a hamstring injury. Robins said: "He's an enigmatic and mercurial talent and he's got unbelievable ability. "It would be a real shame if he didn't grace the football pitch as often as possible as long as he is contributing, and he has done. "Over the last three games I think he has been getting better steadily and that's the reason he played." De Silva joined Barnsley initially on loan from Everton in August 2007 and the move was made permanent when the Tykes paid an undisclosed fee the following January.
