Robins hails Trippier after promising debut
New loan signing Keiran Trippier earned rave reviews from Barnsley manager Mark Robins after the teenager's debut in the 2-1 defeat at Middlesbrough.
The England Under-20 international was drafted in on a month's loan from Manchester City in time to be thrown straight into Robins' starting line-up.
He said: "I thought Keiran came in and had an outstanding debut. I thought he did well in a below-par first-half performance."
The Tykes boss moved quickly to draft in defensive cover following Ryan Shotton's suspension and injury to both Rob Kozluk (knee) and Bobby Hassell (groin).
