Ritchie happy with Healy
24 Aug 2006 - 13:48:01
Barnsley boss Andy Ritchie was delighted to see midfielder Colin Healy come through his first start for the Tykes unscathed in the Carling Cup clash with Blackpool.
The injury-jinxed former Sunderland and Celtic schemer played the whole 120 minutes of the Bloomfield Road tie that ended in a 4-2 penalty shootout win for the Tykes.
Ritchie said: "He still needs games under his belt for his fitness, but I thought his energy levels were okay.
"He just needs to get his game really honed now and hopefully he can do that in games and also in training."
Republic of Ireland international Healy, 26, has suffered two broken legs in the last three years.
