Barnsley skipper Paul Reid is unlikely to be risked for the clash with Luton Town this weekend, as he battles back from an Achilles injury.
Reid has not featured since the 4-2 defeat at Burnley just over two weeks ago and Tykes boss Andy Ritchie is reluctant to risk his captain with a two-week break just around the corner.
Ritchie said: "It would be silly to rush him back for Saturday when, after that, we have 14 days off.
"Paul's been out training with no adverse affects but, as with all Achilles tendon injuries it might flare up overnight, we'll just have to see how he is.
"It will probably be a bit quick for him this weekend, but we might be able to have his added experience on the bench."
