Reds Look To Catch A Fox
Norwich midfielder to be next loanee.
Barnsley hope to tie up the loan signing of Norwich City midfielder David Fox in the next 24 hours.
The 29 year old has made 61 appearances for the Canaries since signing from Colchester in June 2010, playing a key role as they won promotion to the Premier League in the 2010-2011 season.
he former Manchester United trainee was also a prominent member of Paul Lambert’s squad in 2011-2012, making 32 appearances in all competitions helping the Norfolk side to an excellent 12th place finish in their first top flight season in seven years.
Fox has struggled to gain a place since Chris Hughton’s arrival in the summer of 2012, and in 2012-2013 he made just seven appearances, two of which were in the Premier League.
The ex England Under 16 international has made just one Norwich matchday squad this season when he was an unused substitute in the opening day 2-2 draw with Norwich.
Now Fox is set to join Jack Butland in moving to Oakwell on a temporary basis as The Reds look to bolster their midfield options. Captain Stephen Dawson could be most at risk of losing his place after an indifferent start to 2013-2014.
