Reds Aim To Fry

But loan deal unlikely
Barnsley yesterday made a loan enquiry for Hull City striker Matty Fryatt following the ankle injury to Marcus Pedersen.
The 27 year old who has often been a thorn in the Reds side down the years has been on manager David Flitcroft’s radar all summer and could be set to move out of the KC Stadium on a short term deal after he was omitted from the club’s 25 man Premier League squad.
However Hull boss Steve Bruce has said a move to Oakwell is unlikely with the player believed to favour a switch to The Reds opponents tomorrow, Nottingham Forest, despite turning them down ton transfer deadline day.
Bruce told the Hull Daily Mail:
“I’ve had the conversation with Matty and the thing I said to him is that he’s been out for a year.
“We’ve got six games in 11 weeks so if there’s a chance for him to get out playing then I’m not going to stand in his way.
“With Forest I’m not sure what the situation was. They wanted to take him on loan but I don’t think Matty was keen to go there on loan.
“For one reason or another it didn’t happen so we’ll wait and see what happens over the next 10 days or so. Barnsley have also made an enquiry but I can’t see that one happening.”
