Barnsley have made their fourth signing of the summer by bringing in keeper Ben Alnwick on a free transfer.
The 25-year-old has penned a two-year-deal at Oakwell after being released by Spurs this summer after spending five years at White Hart Lane.
He has been brought in as competition for number 1 Luke Steele, but this acquisition could give boss Keith Hill a selection headache when the season starts.
He signed for Spurs from Sunderland for £900,000 but has been out on loan several times. He has spent spells with Luton Town, Leicester, Carlisle, Norwich, Leeds, Doncaster Rovers and Leyton Orient.

“I’m happy to be here. I’m out of contract so I’ve been looking for a club and it’s great to come here. I’m going to try and compete with Steeley (Luke Steele) who is a top ‘keeper.” “It’ll be good for both of us - pushing each other every day.”
