Full-back poised to sign

Barnsley have snapped up former Leicester City full-back Tom Kennedy on a free transfer, according to skysports.com

The 27-year-old previously had played under Reds boss Keith Hill at Rochdale, where he clocked up 137 appearances after joining from Lancashire rivals Bury after 143 games for the Gigg Lane side.

He joined Leicester in 2010 on a free transfer and made six appearances at the King Power Stadium, going back out on loan to Rochdale and two spells at Peterborough United.

Now he is set to link back up with Hill since leaving Spotland in July 2010.
