Odejayi focused on U's career
The 27-year-old turned his loan move with the U's into a permanent deal for an undisclosed fee on January 1 and is now fully focused on the next chapter of his career. "I didn't want to leave Barnsley," he told the Sheffield Star. "Ideally, I would have loved to have stayed at the club and fought for my place, but a new manager (Mark Robins) came in and I wasn't part of his plans. "Unfortunately I didn't score enough goals, but the move to Colchester has done me the world of good. "I couldn't really have asked for a better start. I've managed to score quite a few goals and the team is doing really well."
