Interesting Stats:

Barnsley are unbeaten in their last seven home meetings with Crystal Palace but have lost seven of the last eight away.

The Reds last victory at Selhurst Park was way back in February 2000 when Bruce Dyer and Darren Barnard cemented Barnsley in fourth place in Division One.

Overall Barnsley have a decent record at Palace, winning 11 of their 29 visits, only four less than Palace have won.

They have though managed to score on just two of their last eight trips.

This will be Crystal Palace’s fourth successive game against a side beginning with the letter B.

Despite being firmly entrenched in the Championship play-offs, six points clear of seventh place, the Eagles have lost their last three matches.

It is their joint worst run of the season after they lost their opening three matches.

However after this they embarked on a 14 match unbeaten run.

In the trio of reverseals the Eagles have just suffered they have conceded eight goals, without manging to score themselves.

It is their longest score-less run for nearly two years. They went five games without a goal between 29th October and 26th November 2011.

Palace lost their last home game 4-0 to Birmingham, back on Good Friday. It was only their second home defeat of the season.

They have scored more home goals than any other side in the Premier or Football League with 47 strikes at Selhurst Park.

Palace have failed to win either of their last two home matches but had won the four prior to this.

Barnsley have the same points tally as they had at the end of the 2011-2012 campaign. Victory tomorrow would see them hit the 50 point mark for the sixth time in seven seasons since returning to the Championship.

They have already surpassed their goal tally for last season, scoring 50 compared to last season’s 49.

The Reds are hunting for their fourth win in five matches, but their first on the road in five away trips.

They are on the division’s current longest scoring run of 17 successive league games.

They are the only side in the division to have won every match in which they have kept a clean sheet. They have not drawn 0-0 since the final day of last season.
