Match Preview Team News Reds boss Keith Hill is still missing a number of players ahead of tomorrow’s visit of Watford, but is hoping to have Ricardo Vaz Te back in the squad. The 24 year old Portuguese striker has made just one start and two substitute appearances for The Reds since arriving on a free transfer this summer due to a thigh injury but he was close to making the 16 man squad for the draw with Leicester last Saturday. Nathan Doyle is also fit again but Craig Davies and Miles Addison are still missing. Rob Edwards and Matt Done have had hamstring niggles during the week but will be fit for today. Barnsley have failed to win any of their first four home matches this season in all competitions- just like they did at the start of the 2009-2010 season. They ended the rot there though with a 3-2 Carling Cup victory over Burnley. So failure to beat Watford tomorrow will be the first time they have gone winless in their first five home games since the 1992-1993 when they lost two and drew three of the first five. In that season incidentally it took the Reds until their seventh home match to register a victory! As The Reds failed to win last weekend Keith Hill is still looking to secure the 100th league victory of his management career. Watford’s 2-0 victory at Reading last weekend was their first win of the season and the first under new boss Sean Dyche. This means that both Barnsley and Watford’s only wins of the season so far have come at the Madejski Stadium! It was also the Hornets first success on the road since March. A win for Watford would equal the number of victories the two sides have against each other. Currently Barnsley have won 18 of the 50 meetings, Watford have won 17. Despite both sides only having one win to their names this season they are both on a pretty decent unbeaten run. Barnsley are undefeated in their last three – one win and two draws- whilst Watford are without defeat in their last four league cup matches- one win three draws. They are also unbeaten away from Vicarage Road this season. Both sides have made identical starts to the 2011-2012 Championship season as they have both won none, drawn one and lost two at home, and won one drawn two and lost none away.
