Interesting Stats:

Barnsley are unbeaten in their last four home meetings with Derby and have lost just one of the last eight.

The Rams are searching for their first double over The Reds since the 2006-2007 season. Their 2-0 victory at Pride Park back in November was their first win over The Reds in nine meetings.

On each of the last three occasions that The Reds have kept clean sheets against Derby – in 2011, 2010 and 2009, the games ended goalless.

A win for Derby would be their 10th ever at Oakwell.

Derby come into this game looking to avoid a third straight league defeat for the first time this season. Prior to their back-to-back defeats to Ipswich and Blackburn, Nigel Clough’s side had won three in a row. They are Derby’s only three victories in their last 13 outings.

The Rams have also failed to score in their last two matches. They last went three matches without a goal in February 2012.

Derby have managed to score 59 Championship goals this season. Outside the division’s top eight, only Peterborough have scored more.

They have also scored nine goals more than they managed in the entire 2011-2012 campaign but they are six points down on their tally at this stage last season.

Derby have won just one of their last 10 away matches, but that came in Yorkshire, 2-1 at Leeds on the 1st April.

They have lost 12 matches on the road this season; only Middlesbrough (14) and Bristol City (15) have lost more. The four victories they have managed away from Pride Park is the second lowest. Leeds, Blackburn and Bristol City have three.

Barnsley are looking to bounce back after suffering their heaviest ever Football League home defeat on Saturday.

It was only The Reds second home defeat under David Flitcroft and the last time they lost two home games on the spin was in the final two games of Keith Hill’s reign when they were defeated by Birmingham and Blackburn.

Victory tomorrow would be Barnsley’s ninth home league win of the season, equalling last season’s total. Defeat would be their 10th in front of their own supporters this campaign, which would equal their 2011-2012 total.

After winning three in four at the end of March/ start of April, they have now won just one of the last five.

The last time Barnsley were relegated from this division, in 2002, they also occupied the final relegation spot after 42 games, but they are seven points better off now than they were 11 years ago.
