Barnsley full-back Bobby Hassell faces at least another month on the sidelines with a troublesome knee problem.

The 27-year-old former Mansfield Town player has not featured in the Tykes first team this season because of the injury.

Head physio Richard Kay told the club's official website: "Bobby has undergone weeks of scans which have proven to be inconclusive.

"Bobby has an appointment with the specialist on Wednesday and hopefully he will be given permission to step up his rehab work and do some running.

"He will then have to go through a pre-season programme and get a good level of fitness. We will look to condense six weeks of fitness work into a month."
