Barnsley have agreed new contracts with four players including first-team regulars Martin Devaney and Bobby Hassell.

Devaney, 26, moved to Oakwell in 2005 from Watford and has agreed a new two-year deal after making 41 appearances and scoring six goals this season.

Hassell was named last year's player of the season and has also agreed a new two-year contract with his current deal set to expire in the summer.

Meanwhile, promising youngsters Robert Atkinson and Rhys Meynell have both pledged their futures to the Tykes with contract extensions.

Atkinson will now remain at Oakwell until summer 2009 after breaking into the first-team this season, while Meynell has put pen to paper on a new 12-month deal.
