Barnsley boss Simon Davey has penned a new four-year contract at Oakwell and is delighted to have committed his long-term future to the club.
Davey replaced Andy Ritchie as Tykes manager just over one year ago and helped the club retain their Championship status last term.
He told the club's official website: "I'm really over the moon to have signed this deal. It's taken a while and there's been speculation along the way as to whether I'd sign or not or even if a contract had been offered.
"The board put a lot of faith in me initially to give me the job as a caretaker here and they put even more faith in me by offering me it full-time.
"We can now start to look towards a four-year period even though there were things and plans in place whether I was here for six months or ten years.
"We're meticulous as a staff and have plans in place to take this club forward.
"We had to secure our Championship status last season and then look to improve the squad this time around.
"We've done that. We now want to improve everything about this club year on year and see where that takes us."
