New date for Lions trip

Barnsley's rearranged league clash at Millwall will take place on Friday January 28 following police advice. The original fixture, scheduled for Saturday December 18, was postponed due to the freezing weather and was initially rearranged for Saturday January 29 before other issues came into play. General manager Don Rowing told the club's official website: "A proposed student demonstration in London on Saturday January 29 meant the police were not prepared to commit resources to policing the game at the New Den on that day. That meant we had no alternative but to find another date for the fixture. "With West Ham's FA Cup game at Upton Park against Nottingham Forest due to be played on the Sunday, it also meant switching the game to January 30 was out of the question."
